We have tested Nero2d on Fedora 9 and Debian 4 (Etch) Linux distributions, but in principle, it should work on any Unix or Linux/GNU system. As Nero2d is written in standard Fortran/C++, it should also compile on any compiler of your choice. In this section, we describe the installation instructions for the GNU/Linux system as it is a free and stable platform.
