wxGBTool requires that wxWidgets version 2.6.0 or higher be installed. The required wxWidgets development packages are often distributed within a GNU/Linux distribution. It is probably the easiest to install them from there. For yum
-based systems (Fedora, Red Hat, etc.), this package is called wxGTK-devel
; for aptitude
based systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.), this package is called libwxgtk-dev
.
You can also download the source code of wxWidgets from www.wxwidgets.org and compile it yourself. Usually for a GNU/Linux environment, you need the wxGTK version. Compiling wxWidgets is not too difficult. We refer to the installation guide for more details.
